Scandinavian Christmas Tree Crochet Pattern

Too busy crocheting and no time to set up the Christmas tree? No worries. Here's our easy Bauble Bobble Noel Firs to help deck the halls. So get creative and choose any color combinations you want.

Materials

  • Spotlight Marvel Yarn 8 Ply or any DK Yarn of your choice
  • 3 mm crochet hook
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissor
  • Needle
  • Fiberfill stuffing

Abbreviations (U.S Term)

  • mr = magic ring
  • rnd = round
  • r = row
  • sc = single crochet
  • inc = increase (2 sc in each st)
  • dec = decrease (2 sc together)
  • bo = bobble stitch
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • ch = chain
  • rep = repeat

Special Stitch

  • Bobble Stitch (BO)

    Notes:

    When you're crocheting the round bobble stitch, make sure you are working on the 'opposite' or 'wrong side' of your work. This will make the stitch 'puff' out naturally when you pull through a series of loops all at once.

    Steps to crochet Bobble Stitch (bo): 

    The steps to crocheting a bobble stitch is very similar to crocheting a double crochet. You're simply going to crochet just the 'first half' of a double crochet.

    Step 1: Yarn over, insert hook into the stitch and pull up a loop. Yarn over, pull through two loops.

    Step 2: Repeat Step 1 in the same stitch until you have a total of 6 loops on your hook.

    Step 3: Yarn over, pull through all 6 loops at once. 

    Step 4: Single crochet in the next stitch.

Finished Size

  • Small Fir: Approximately 4.7" / 12 cm tall when made with the indicated yarn.
  • Medium Fir: Approximately 6.3" / 16 cm tall when made with the indicated yarn.
  • Large Fir: Approximately 8.3" / 21 cm tall when made with the indicated yarn.

Start stuffing the tree moderately with fiberfill stuffing as you continue.
